Dr. Jagdeep Doulla

Dr. Jagdeep Doulla attended the University of Calgary and received his BSc in Cellular Biology in 2009. He then attended the University of Calgary Medical School and received his Undergraduate Doctor of Medicine degree in 2014. Following receipt of his medical degree Dr. Doulla moved to Ottawa to pursue his residency in family medicine which he successfully completed in June 2016.

He has a general family practice focused on comprehensive care and preventative care in family medicine. Apart from his clinic work Dr. Doulla is a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Calgary where he teaches first and second year medical students.

Dr. Joshua Brochu

Dr. Joshua Brochu obtained his Bachelor of Science degree with distinction in 2012 from the University of Alberta, with a major in Biological Sciences and a minor in Business. He then went on to study Cell Biology at the University of Alberta, prior to beginning Medical School at the University of Calgary. He graduated from the Cumming School of Medicine in 2016 (Class of the Narwhals) with his Doctor of Medicine and then completed his residency in 2018 at the University of Calgary, based out of the Central Teaching Centre at Sheldon M. Chumir Centre in downtown Calgary. In 2018, Dr. Brochu obtained his CCFP designation and began practicing at Braeside on 24th in 2019. Dr. Brochu also has an interest in dermatology, and regularly uses dermoscopy for the early detection of skin cancers.

Dr. Brochu is also involved in medical education. He is a clinical lecturer with the University of Calgary. He is involved in behavioral medicine and procedural skills training, and regularly facilitates the Family Medicine program’s patient-centered care lab and mental health lab for family medicine residents.

Dr. Matthew Johnston

Dr. Matthew Johnston attended the University of Western Ontario, where he obtained a Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMSc) degree in Physiology and Pharmacology in 2011, and subsequently a Master of Sciences (MSc) degree in Physiology and Pharmacology in 2013. He attended medical school at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, and obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2017. Thereafter, he completed residency training in Family Medicine through the University of Calgary, during which he was based out of the Central Teaching Clinic at Sheldon M. Chumir Centre in downtown Calgary. He completed his residency program and obtained his Certification in the College of Family Physicians (CCFP) designation in 2019. Dr. Johnston joined Braeside on 24th Medical Clinic in July 2019.
